This super space-saving frame provides fun and interactive exercise opportunities to excite and engage primary school children. It comes with 6 user stations that are carefully matched in pairs to provide a big focus on working together, to boost social interactions as well as physical ones. Each station is positioned to encourage communication skills to build confidence and promote teamwork which will support learning in the classroom.
The Children’s Big Six provides a full body workout that introduces children to the joy of exercise. Using the equipment will elevate the heart rate, strengthen muscles, and improve flexibility, balance, and co-ordination. The children get all these benefits whilst they feel like they are playing as the user stations provide opportunities for fun movement such as swinging, skiing, arm cycling and rotations.
Perfect for up to 6 children to use at a time, the Children’s Big Six offers challenging and fun exercise activities for all abilities so every child can get involved whatever their fitness level.
2 Air Skiers – featured at either end of the rig, air skiers provide a fun opportunity for cardio movement to get the heart pumping, great for getting the body warm boosting cardiovascular health.
Inclusive T’ai Chi spinners – this clever piece of equipment exercises the brain as well as the body. Easy-to-use, the wheels move independently allowing arms to work clockwise or anticlockwise, which is excellent for mental agility. It can also be accessed easily by wheelchair.
Double Air Walker – a great fun and engaging, low impact air walker. Great for all fitness levels as users can set their own pace taking a slow wide walk or speed up and compete to get the heart rate going.
Inclusive arm bike - brilliant for building hand-eye coordination and promoting flexibility and coordination in wrists, arms, and shoulders. It can also be accessed easily by wheelchair.
Designed with Key Stage 1 & 2 in mind, the Children’s Big Six is the perfect installation for primary schools that wish to maximise space and encourage all ages and abilities to exercise throughout the day. Whether at break, lunch time, after school or during PE, a short burst on the Children’s Big Six will help children concentrate throughout the day, stimulating their body and mind. Exercising outdoors helps to run off their energy whilst also providing a boost of fresh air and vitamin D. Frequent opportunities for exercise help to teach children about healthy lifestyles and how to incorporate movement into their life. Lessons they will take into adulthood.
The Children's Big Six can be installed into grass, tarmac or with a range of surfacing options also available. It can also be installed along with other products in our Children's range to create a larger outdoor gym for more chidren to use at once.
At Fresh Air Fitness we have been designing, manufacturing and installing our Children’s KS1 & 2 range of outdoor gym equipment for schools since 2013, so we are very experienced in ensuring that every step of the process from design, manufacture, delivery and installation to aftercare flows seamlessly.
You have a dedicated point of contact on our team throughout and as part of the process, we carry out a site inspection to understand your precise needs. At the site inspection, we provide advice from finding the right location and space, right through to recommending a range of surfacing and tips on the positioning of your outdoor gym – maybe next to a playground, running track or making great use of an otherwise unused area of land in the school grounds.
Once you have chosen the right location for your school, we manufacture, deliver, and install your Children’s Big Six on a date that suits you – whether during term time or holidays – and we provide a raft of videos and a free app to support with the safe and effective use of our equipment.
Despite the Children’s Big Six having a very low maintenance requirement and a 25-year warranty, a maintenance pack is provided upon completion for extra peace of mind. If you need spares, our UK warehouse offers a convenient and speedy delivery service.
