Fresh Air Fitness installed a unique circular outdoor gym zone for the whole community to enjoy for free!
Red Lodge Parish Council identified an opportunity for an outdoor gym to be added to the existing Sports Pavilion facilities to enhance the exercise opportunities provided to the local community.
The local councillors were enthusiastic about the proposal and West Suffolk Council agreed to fund the installation. Fresh Air Fitness were the chosen provider.
The challenge was to create an exciting, engaging and eye-catching design that could be used all year round, whatever the weather.
The installation needed to be fully accessible to the whole community and situated close to the play park. The equipment had to be simple and easy to use and inclusive of all fitness levels and abilities.
Fresh Air Fitness provided consultation for a bespoke and unique circular design with a 20m path leading in for all weather accessibility.
The installation was designed with neat concrete edging finish, bespoke colourway, and space in middle for stretching/cool down.
To ensure that everybody could use the equipment correctly, every piece of equipment included an instructional panel on how to use and example workouts.
The outdoor gym was made up of 12 pieces of equipment in total, offering beginners to advance users a complete range of strength, cardio and flexibility exercise options.
