Fresh Air Fitness provide a dynamic and exciting fitness zone at Ford UK’s flagship Dagenham site as part of Ford’s mission to support staff happiness and productivity through fitness and wellbeing initiatives.
Ford's Welfare Team were seeking an outdoor fitness solution to meet their mission of supporting staff happiness and productivity through fitness and wellbeing initiatives. Providing staff with access to an outdoor gym supported this perfectly and so they approached Fresh Air Fitness for the right solution.
The new outdoor gym needed to offer true variety, look dynamic and be fun to use as well as offering staff a full body workout, regardless of fitness level or ability.
The equipment had to include cardiovascular, strength, and resistance pieces to offer the full range of fitness options.
Each piece required clear, permanent signage with instructions for use and workout suggestions.
The new outdoor gym provision needed to encourage team building, social integration, accessibility and inclusion, where colleagues could get together and enjoy all the health benefits of exercise outdoors in the fresh air.
Fresh Air Fitness worked with Ford UK to design, manufacture and install a fantastic 14-piece gym with a full mix of cardio, strength, and resistance equipment. The gym included the following fitness pieces:
• Sit Up Bench– Designed to provide safe, yet intense core workout, the Sit Up Bench is suitable for all abilities from beginners upwards.
• Combination Pull Down and Chest Press– This strength building piece of equipment offers the benefits of a chest press and a pull down challenger on one frame.
• Elliptical Cross Trainer – A great all-round workout to get the heart pumping and the blood flowing whilst improving balance and co-ordination.
• Resistance Leg Press – Builds strength and tone in legs through weighted resistance.
• Self-weighted Rower– Strengthens major muscle groups in your arms, legs, and core and increase cardiovascular endurance.
• Resistance Stepper - Provides a great cardio workout that's easy on your joints but at the same time builds pretty much every muscle in your legs and glutes.
• Bicycle – A static bicycle which gets the heart rate up an, improving cardiovascular health and burning calories.
• Air Walker – a low impact exercise for the legs, hips and core.
• Leg Lift Station– Strengthen muscle groups in the legs with knee raises and leg lifts.
• Seated Leg Press - Suitable for all abilities from beginners upwards, our Seated Leg Press provides an excellent workout for thighs, hips and buttocks.
