EDUCATION - ALL THROUGH SCHOOLS
Six gym solutions successfully installed into various schools within the Trust, including a SEND Specialist School, a secondary with a SEND provision, 2 x Secondary Schools and 2 x Primary Schools
The Bourne Education Trust is made up of twenty-five schools, including Philip Southcote School, Chertsey High School, Brookwood Primary, Kings International College, Sythwood Primary School and Matthew Arnold School. The schools range from Primary to Senior and some have a provision or specialisation in children with special educational needs or disabilities (S.E.N.D).
The challenge was to design and install a selection of outdoor gym equipment pieces to complement each school, creating brand new, multi-use, exercise zones suitable for the pupils to use during school, in breaktimes and after school clubs.
Each space had to boost the physical and emotional wellbeing of the children as well as support a broader range of activities across the school community for ‘whole-school’ improvement.
Over a period of time, Fresh Air Fitness worked with each school to design, manufacture and install outdoor gym equipment to suit their specific and unique requirements.
Some schools chose to install one of our ready-made outdoor gym package offers and others cherry picked individual pieces.
The Fresh Air Fitness range covers all areas of fitness from cardio and strength to balance and flexibility – but above all it is easy and fun to use. All equipment is built to last, robust and sustainable, covered with a 25-year warranty and requires very little maintenance.
Some of the highlights of each school outdoor gym project are listed below:
Kings International College is a school, welcoming children from Year 7 to Year 11. The school formed a close partnership with Philip Southcote School through the creation of the Southcote Centre at Kings which provides an outstanding SEN provision for pupils.
