If you haven’t come across it before, the Rider is a user-friendly piece of outdoor exercise kit that’s become one of the most popular across our range of equipment. What’s more, it suits all levels of ability and fitness, since the user determines the pace and can work as hard or as gently as they like.

In a nutshell, it’s like a rowing machine, but positioned in a more upright position. You push with your legs and pull up with your arms against resistance, so that you move your whole body up and down.
Unlike other similar pieces of equipment on the market, the design of our Rider is different, and provides greater benefits to those who use it.
Here’s why:
As with every item in our range, you’ll enjoy the advantages of an outdoor workout when you use the Rider. The fresh air will get the endorphins going, so that you should feel a lot better mentally as well as physically. Additionally, of course, you get a Vitamin D boost thanks to the increased exposure to sunlight. And, like all our gym equipment, it’s free for the end user.
But there are various mental and physical benefits associated with it specifically:
Why not read our previous blog post on The Rider to find out all the benefits provided by this product.
To start with, push your legs and pull with your arms at low intensity to give yourself a five-minute warm-up.
Follow this by exercising at moderate intensity for a further five minutes.
Next, switch between medium and high intensity for another 15 minutes.
End with a five-minute cool-down: push your legs and pull your arms at low intensity.
We take this side of things very seriously, and provide clear safety and user guidance labelling, along with recommendations for effective workouts. And, as with all our machines, the Rider is produced to ISO9001 quality and management standards, while conforming to the UK safety standards EN1176 and EN16630.
And, by the way, for further peace of mind we also supply:
We also make the Children’s Rider in a size to suit kids, and again it’s one of our most sought-after units in this range. It’s aimed at Key Stage 1&2 youngsters, and kids can feel the same benefits adults do on the full-sized version, while setting their own pace.
The Rider remains hugely popular – and it’s easy to see why. Get in touch about this and other pieces in our outdoor gym equipment range. Call us 01483 608860 or complete our quick contact form to discuss which items would best help create an outdoor gym for your community.
